Delivery & Returns Information

  • We shall endeavour to have items in stock delivered to your specified address within 3 – 7 working days from receipt of order. When items are not in stock, you will be emailed and items will be placed on backorder and sent as soon as it’s back in stock. If you would prefer a full refund, please let us know within 5 working days. Please feel free to contact us if you need to receive your item(s) by a specific delivery date or if the order is urgent.
  • Delivery periods and dates are given in good faith but are not the subject of any warranty or condition. The company does not accept any liability if delivery periods or dates are not met for any reason whatsoever.
  • If an item or items in your order are out of stock we will advise you and ascertain whether you would like part shipment immediately or to wait until the full order is available.
  • Non delivery must be advised within 7 days and in writing to enable us to claim from the carrier.
  • Any shortage or damage on delivery must be reported to us immediately and confirmed in writing within 3 days with proof via pictures.
  • You agree to inform us of delivery difficulties at the point of order and agree to indemnify us against additional charges levied on us due to delivery difficulties. We assume, unless informed to the contrary, that delivery can be made on a 17 tonne vehicle with level access for pallet delivery. Unfortunately for insurance reasons, we can only deliver to the ground floor.
  • Delivery charges are subject to variation without notice.
  • We reserve the right to apply extra delivery costs for delivery to areas outside England, Wales and the South Eastern areas of Scotland.
  • We shall not be held liable for any consequences of a delayed delivery whatever they may be, or for loss, damage or non-delivery that is unrecoverable by us from the carrier.
  • A Proof of Delivery from the courier shall be taken as irrevocable proof of delivery to your premises and you agree to hold us harmless for any failure of delivery where there is a Proof of Delivery provided by the courier.
  • Clients will be entirely responsible for all goods left somewhere safe upon your instructions and this will be deemed as proof of delivery.
  • Where there is nobody present to sign for the delivery the shipment may be held at your local depot who will attempt to deliver again the following day. If the second attempted delivery is still not successful, then the goods will be taken back to the depot and returned to Lex’s Linens. The customer agrees to indemnify us against any charges levied on us for the return of the goods. We will delay re-despatch to you until such time as you have reimbursed us for the unauthorised return.

Delivery rates

Mainland UK Carriage Terms

  • Orders under £25 we charge £4.95 per order.
  • Orders over £25 we supply carriage free.

Offshore Carriage Terms

  • Areas which are not Mainland UK destinations include the Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, Highlands, Industrial Scotland, Jersey, Guernsey, Inner and the Outer Hebrides, Orkneys, Shetland, Isle of Wight, Northern & Southern Ireland & Dublin. These will be subject to an additional delivery charge which we will inform before shipping for approval in writing.

Returns

  • Any items can be returned and a partial/full refund or exchange will be provided, subject to the goods being returned in full resalable condition.
  • Should you wish to return any item(s) ordered or notify us of non-receipt, discrepancies or damaged goods, please email within 5 working days from receipt of delivery. Please note that there may be a collection charge for any items returned.

  • The Company shall not be liable to the customer or deemed to be in breach of any contract with the customer, by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of the Company’s obligations in relation to the goods. If the delay or failure was due to force majeure or to any other cause beyond the Company’s reasonable control.

Warranty and Defective Goods

  • Lex’s Linens warrants that all goods supplied will meet the specification detailed on our website
  • Lex’s Linens obligation in the event of a breach of this warranty is limited to the replacement of any defective goods, which shall be returned to us by the customer. This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties or conditions expressed or implied (whether by statute or otherwise) and is subject to the following conditions:
    • Claims must be notified in writing to the Company within 5 working days from the date of delivery.
    • Lex’s Linens shall be under no liability if the defect or failure, in the reasonable opinion of the Company, arises from wilful damage or misuse, negligence by the customer or any third party.
    • Lex’s Linens shall be under no liability if the price for the goods has not been paid prior to shipment.
  • The warranty shall be for a period of 1 month from the invoice date and this warranty will cover you for defects in materials and workmanship.
  • All warranties are a return to base warranty whereby you must return the item in its original packaging to either ourselves or the manufacturer at our discretion to investigate the fault.
  • Where the item is found not to be faulty you will have to pay for the return of the item to you.
  • The warranty does not cover anything arising from wear and tear, accidental damage (whether wilful or otherwise), negligence, misuse, not following the instructions, mishandling, alteration or adaptation, modification or neglect, adjustment or repair. Wear and tear items include, but are not restricted to, elements in kettles, batteries, ironing board covers.
  • The warranty is void if you have not fulfilled or are in breach of any of your responsibilities under this contract.
  • Refunds, part-refunds and replacements are at the sole discretion of the manufacturer and you agree to be bound by their decision. Further liability is specifically excluded.
